NAAC Grade A++ with CGPA 3.71 NIRF Rank # 12 (Amongst Colleges)Having a legacy of more than 18 years, Terpsichorean believes in churning out the best choreography pieces with strong thematic foreground. Terpsichorean believes in its motto ‘a lil more than dance’ and tries to express the most relevant societal issues through our dance pieces. Since its inception in 2002, Terpsichorean has constantly climbed heights and has been able to mark a niche for itself in the choreography scenario. The society has successfully managed to adapt to the changing scenarios and still find a stable footing. It has represented some very strong social issues through dance and will continue to do so as a way of creating awareness and spreading messages. We are a well-blended society but last year women were at the forefront of our leadership showing us there is nothing dance, and a high spirit cannot achieve.
Terpsichorean collaborated with the NGO Ahaana which helps covid affected individuals and conducted an online dance workshop for the Covid-19 affected families on 1st May 2021. It was a noble effort by the NGO to include and approach us to create an impact and we were more than happy to do so. The receipts for the workshop as well as the awareness about the plight of people undergoing difficulties went towards this noble cause. Terpsichorean really made the most out of the pandemic struck year and will continue to do so in the future. This fun endeavour was a great success, and we were incredibly happy to put our dancing shoes to good use. We encouraged people to dance in midst of all the stress and we tried to help people in little ways we could. Noor- Dance for a cause received great feedback from everyone who participated, and we had a great time choreographing the dance and it was a thrilling experience for most of our team members as they took their first workshop.
Choreo’21 was one of its kind virtual dance events organized by team Terpsichorean. Mr. Sanchit Babbar and Ms. Jyoti Soni graced the event as the esteemed judge for CHOREO’21. We witnessed a huge response this year with over 100 participants from various societies, teams, and individuals all over the country. Our solo dance competitions, a new venture by the batch of 2021, was widely received by a lot of young artists. Our one-day online fest brought together a lot of artists who were excited to showcase their skills, albeit on an online platform. skills, albeit on an online platform.
