OBC Cell, Hansraj College is committed to empower, enlighten and uplift the college students and both teaching/non-teaching staffs of OBC categories.

Objectives:

• To ensure effective implementation of the reservation norms in the college.
• To provide a platform where students can share their concerns and resolve issues, grievances, representations, etc.
• To take appropriate measures to facilitate academic, social &professional development of teachers and administrative staff in the college.
• To motivate them to enrol in various career-oriented, skill development programs and explore redressal mechanism such as provisions for remedial classes, counselling, etc.

The OBC Cell comprises of a Convener& members from the teaching staff who are duly elected every academic year.The Cell organizes lectures by distinguished speakers and conducts interactive sessions to create awareness among OBC students regarding–constitutional provision of special rights to their communities; to aware about various state and central government scholarship schemes so that students can benefit by availing those welfare schemes.
