Governance: Research advisory committee (RAC) looks after the composition of Committees and overall governance of the RDC
Committee 1: Finance and Infrastructure
- Finance
- Create a CORPUS for research and development
- CSR funds for sustenance of research activities
- Liasoning with funding agencies
- Seed fund
- Creating organizational Funding for publications and patenting
Committee 2: Research Programs, Policy Development
- Research promotion and guidance
- Organizing capacity-building programs: Research methodologies and techniques based workshops/FDPs, Research internships, Research Thrust and Clustered areas
- Establishing center of excellence, research clusters, regional research consortia, research incentives and recognition
- To devise policies for identifying incentives for faculty involved in research
- To organize/conduct refresher courses, workshops. trainings/internships, group discussions, seminars/conferences
- Research Monitoring
- SWOC analysis/Internal evaluation of research papers and suggest Scopus indexed/WoS or UGC-CARE listed journals
- Research labs to fulfill good laboratory practices (GLP) and safety (Bio and chemical) measures
Committee 3: Collaboration and Community
- Research Ecosystem/Collaboration
- To develop a connection with RDCs of established HEIs
- To establish collaborations, partnerships and combined ventures with clustering institutions
- Creating a hub for strategic partnerships/collaboration
Committee 4: Product Development, Monitoring and Commercialization
- Administration: Close contact with Ministry innovation cell to make use of innovative plans to facilitate researchers
- Information management system: Put in place RIMs (Research Information management system), a platform for accessing information, human capital, physical capital, knowledge capital, IPRs, consultancy
- Create a Blog/Portal
- Sign MOU with Inflibnet, UGC to access and upload information through Shodh Ganga, Shodh Gangotri, Shodh Sindhu, Shodh Shuddhi and Shodh Chakra
- Technology Development and Business-centered facility
- Industry-institute interface
- Venture capital
- Trade/marker portfolio
- Commercialization of research to facilitate innovation, incubation, entrepreneurship and start-up ventures
Committee 5: IPR and Ethical Matters
- IPR and patent services
- Integrity and ethics
- Mandatory implementation of standard plagiarism check
- Requisite software to be made available by the organization to faculty and students
