The department has encouraged its students to enhance their practical knowledge by visiting various research labs and manufacturing plants.
Lumen organized an industrial visit to Magneti Marelli manufacturing plant in Manesar on 22nd May 2019. The company specializes in the production of robotized gearboxes for automobiles, also called AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). Examples of successful car models currently equipped with the Magneti Marelli AMT gearbox in India include Maruti Celerio, Maruti Alto, Tata Nano and Tata Zest.
The Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi organized a National Science Day programme on 28th February, 2019. The programme involved many talks followed by some experimental demonstrations by the scientists at IUAC, and finally a visit to the various accelerators and detector facilities at IUAC.
Department of Physics & Electronics, Hansraj College organized one day educational visit to Narora Atomic Power Plant for a group of 33 students funded by DBT Star College Scheme.
