The Department of Chemistry is one of the most prestigious departments of the college. It caters to a large number of students of other science disciplines as well. The CBCS syllabus exposes students to diverse fields such as Green Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry etc. With specialized papers under Skill Enhancement Course and Discipline Specific Elective students get introduced to Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pesticide Chemistry, Molecular Modeling & Drug Design, Fuel Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Cosmetics & Perfumes and others, which can help them decide their field of interest in the future. The six (6) chemistry and four (4) instrumentation labs allow the students to have hands-on practical training. The Chemical Society of the department organizes seminars and workshops on the latest topics of research. The dedicated faculty of the department believes in interactive relationships with the students.
