Dr Sangwan has been actively teaching in the English Departments of various constituent colleges affiliated with the University of Delhi since 2008. Prior to her academic pursuits, she acquired five years of professional experience in the corporate sector, serving notably at Group Usha and Maruti Udyog Ltd. following her completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) in 1999. This corporate background deeply informed her doctoral dissertation, a scholarly endeavour that intricately examines the interplay of American imperialistic influences and the principles of neoliberal ideology. Dr. Sangwan's analysis specifically centres upon Salman Rushdie's literary oeuvre post-1999. She has also authored articles that have been published in both national and international scholarly journals.
