Rural Infrastructure in India (Sir Ratan Tata Trust project): Objective - To assess the current status of Indian rural infrastructure in order to identify ‘gaps’ in infrastructure availability and access. The study also makes policy recommendations to bridge these gaps.

  • Multivariate Analyses of primary data to estimate demand for infrastructure using econometric modeling techniques
  • Projections for the investment available and required for full coverage for the next five years
  • Analyses on several case studies

Rural Access to Finance (World Bank project): ObjectiveTo assess the significance of the current central government programmes relating to provision of rural finance. The study quantifies and delineates the structure of the formal rural financial system in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Domestic Tourism Study (Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India project): Objective – To estimate the total number of domestic tourists and their expenditure behaviour to develop a Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) for India.

The objective of the study was to examine the causal relationship between export growth and economic growth for India for the period 1975-1999 using the Multivariate Vector Error Correction framework
