As a premier institution of higher education, Hansraj College offers its students a unique blend of modern education and Vedic values. The college is guided in its mission of combining the best of tradition and modernity by the vision of Mahatma Hansraj.

Hansraj College’s legacy has been built upon the memories of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Hansraj. They were pioneers in the field of education and had spent their magnificent lives emphasizing on the importance of knowledge and spreading the bright light of knowledge and education in all the dark corners of the country.

This college was built in the memory of Mahatma ji by the D.A.V. College Management Committee on 26th July, 1948. The college has been contributing to the noble task of nation-building since its very inception.

The exemplary service the college has rendered to society has received due recognition in several national surveys that have consistently ranked Hansraj College amongst the top 10 from among 5000 colleges in India.

Hansraj College is noted for providing cutting-edge infrastructure to satisfy the educational and research demands of its students and teachers. A well-stocked Central Library and a Book Bank for economically disadvantaged pupils are among these resources. Eighteen Science Labs and six Computer Labs are housed in the Science departments' expansive wings. In addition to its high academic standards, the college has a thriving heritage of extracurricular activities. Our students balance their academic pursuits with participation in sports, theatre, debate, music, photography, and the visual arts. The college auditorium, amphitheatre, and the seminar rooms, all of which are equipped with the most up-to-date sound and projection technologies, provide for a wide range of academic and co-curricular interactions. In addition to academics, the college has a stellar athletic record. We are the University's sole college with an Electronic Shooting Range. A large sports field, an Indoor Sports Complex, and various playrooms are also available to our athletes.

I am blessed to be a member of the Hansraj family, which continues to support me in my attempts to set the bar for our success. Our institutional machinery is supported by a devoted team of teachers and non-teaching employees. I see myself as an administrator and a friend who aids in the overall development of the college.
